About

Mission

A Tribe Called Run (ATCR) is a community-first, BIPOC-led, inclusive running crew based in Baltimore.

Vision

ATCR envisions a growing community of diverse runners rooted in curiosity and civic engagement. We see a world that disrupts the status quo of run culture and celebrates the authentic runner.

    • How long you've been running with ATCR: Spring of 2021.

    • Your favorite distance to race and why: I love the marathon. It’s such a great challenge with the distance and pacing. There’s a lot of ambiguity with the marathon because it’s such a long race, but I love getting to mile 22 and knowing that I’ve run smart, I didn’t hit a wall, and it’s easy sailing for the last 4.

    • One unique fact about yourself: I entered the fitness industry as a pole dance instructor! I still teach pop up classes, but running is my current focus.

    • You're favorite distance to race and why: 10 km because I want something I can try to complete in under an hour

    • One unique fact about yourself: I have earned a black belt in taekwondo

    • How long you've been running with ATCR: Day Número Uno

    • Your favorite distance to race and why: Currently, the half is my favorite. I can finish it under an average movie running time, ¡jajaja!

    • One unique fact about yourself: My pinky toes don't touch the ground…

    • How long you've been running with ATCR: August 2020

    • You're favorite distance to race and why: Any distance (up to a half marathon) with friend(s), because no matter what the question is, friendship is typically the answer.

    • One unique fact about yourself: I have a matching ATCR/TSP tattoo with Will Walker

    • How long you've been running with ATCR: Spring 2021

    • You're favorite distance to race and why: Hands down half marathons. I feel I run often enough that it doesn’t require an uptick in training. Also, it’s a distance that I can run hard and still enjoy the rest of my day.

    • One unique fact about yourself: While not entirely unique, I hold moderate political and social views that I believe are in the minority within the Tribe community.

    • How long you've been running with ATCR: June 2020

    • You're favorite distance to race and why: Half Marathon! The distance is long enough that you can really ease into the miles and adjust as needed but short enough that you're not questioning life choices (like a marathon haha)

    • One unique fact about yourself: My brother and I are the first set of twins on both sides of our family in 2 generations!
